The Sculpture Setkání Finds a New Home in Slaný

The sculpture Setkání will remain in Slaný permanently. After last year’s Sculptures in the City exhibition in the town center, the city council decided to purchase one of the installations.
Since April 2025, the artwork by Alexandra Koláčková has been placed in front of the 3rd Elementary School on Rabasova Street. The unveiling ceremony was attended by the artist herself, Mayor Martin Hrabánek, Deputy Mayor Radek Vondráček, and the school’s principal Jitka Sachlová.
The event also featured a fashion show by the school’s students. As part of a “No Bag Day,” they creatively demonstrated alternative ways to carry their school supplies.
By acquiring the sculpture, the city has strengthened its commitment to public art—giving children and residents the chance to encounter art every day.
